Bled for Boston Photography Exhibit at the BCAE

*Proceeds from the exhibition will benefit Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.
After the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, 2013 we all looked for ways to help, donate and contribute. For BCAE instructor Chris Padgett that was a trip to Good Mojo Tattoos where they were donating proceeds of all Boston themed tattoos to The One Fund Boston. Plenty of others followed suite and dedicated permanent space on their bodies as a tribute, and the trend inspired Chris to start documenting.

Chris says, "Bostonians everywhere showed their support for the city after the bombings. Many tattoo shops in Massachusetts stepped up and offered Boston-themed tattoos, donating their profits to The One Fund Boston. I wanted to capture the people that dedicated permanent space on their bodies as memorials to their city, first responders and the people who lost their lives at the Marathon."

The collective body of Chris's yearlong project, Bled for Boston features stunning photographs and personal accounts. The exhibit will be on display through the monnth of April to commemorate the 1 year anniversary of the bombings, and the reception will serve as a way to come together and share our stories. The photographs and their subjects prove we are now as we were then: strong.

The exhibit will be on display through the end of April. The gallery is open on weekdays from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm and at various times on the weekend. If you plan on visiting during the weekend please call (617) 267-4430 before attending. The exhibit will be open from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 26. The building is closed on Sunday, April 27.
